Comcast Posts $189 Million Loss on Its Wireless Gambit

Comcast’s attempt to jump into the wireless sector is seeing mixed results so far. According to the company’s latest earnings report, Comcast posted a $189 million loss in the quarter related to its Xfinity Mobile expenses, notably more than most Wall Street analysts expected. On the flip side, Comcast added 196,000 new subscribers to its Xfinity Mobile MVNO service during the quarter, besting Wall Street analyst estimates and bringing Comcast’s total wireless subscriber count to 577,000.
