VoD growing in France & Germany, but penetration still lags

Despite the abiding appeal of traditional linear TV, cinema, radio and offline games, many Internet users in France and Germany now devote a major part of their time to online entertainment.

“Digital video viewing has grown steadily in France and Germany, but penetration still lags behind several other countries in Western Europe, including the UK and the Nordics,” said Karin von Abrams, analyst at eMarketer and author of the report Digital Entertainment in France and Germany: Steady but Modest Growth in Online Video, Gaming and Audio Consumption.
