French TV joins forces in OTT strategy

Public-owned France Télévisions and the nation’s two major commercial broadcasters, TF1 and M6 are creating an OTT platform, named Salto.

Le Figaro newspaper says that the new platform will complement the existing 6Play and MyTF1 operations, and the backers say other broadcasters are welcome to join Salto.

Two price levels are being talked about, at €1.99 and €6.99 although it is not yet clear as to what will be available under the two prices.
